sooooo....hospital internship is 6 weeks in.....also...only 6 weeks left! Happy to feel productive again. Loving the medical field, every day I see and learn about new things....and with me having some background in nursing, etc...it's pretty cool. I could def see myself working and loving working in a medical setting, like a hospital. Only bad thing is that sometimes you have to work weekends, since a hospital never closes...but how often depends on the hospital.
My niece LoriAnn has just turned 2 months old. She's smiling now and goo-ing and gaga-ing all the time. I love to see language and communication develop in infants....even if it is mostly through youtube vids. I'll be able to be a little more hands on for the next one ;)
OH, and another big update! My niece was dx'd with ADD.....like her Nanny. She started medication last week and her home and school life are SOOO much better. I KNOW how she was feeling before the meds, and I'm so proud of her for being strong and being such a hard worker and still pushing to be the best she could. She is honestly such a smart and mature kid, no bias there at all ;) But yeah, it's hard to see someone go through what you did and not really be able to help, so I'm glad she's doing so well. :)
Other than that, life has been ok. Productive and good at work....which makes me tired when I actually get to go home...but I feel like I've accomplished things and maybe am earning that 'Adult' card finally.
I've been enlightened about a couple of things lately, some good, some not so good....but better to know I say. *insert Shrek quote*
Oh, and with the mini's that I've been painting...........I've switched races from Tyranids to Orks... You can check out the first Ork guy I've been painting on FB. Still keeping the Nids....don't be a race-switcher-hater ;)
